What Sailing Feels Like

July 4, 2014

Most of the time when I’m I feel like a 14 year old boy, getting into some harmless but possibly significant mischief. I stand looking over the dodger, just soaking it all in as if, at any moment some authority figure is going to send me home.

Hey, I just came across your blog and it’s pretty cool. I found your post about dreamers and nayslayers, and was wondering if I may use the following quote in my own blog, with your permission-

‘Either one of us may die tomorrow. I may be swept from the decks and drowned, you may be hit by a bus on your way to work. If I succeed I will snorkel, hike, and live truly, in paradise. If you succeed you will get to work.’

I blog at awkwarddonkey.blogspot.co.uk and I am for the most part blogging without any sponsors, so it isn’t like I would be getting paid whilst including your quote – just thought I should check with you before I include it anywhere.

Hi! I just found my way here from Zach Aboard, and I look forward to reading about your adventures. We used to live aboard seasonally (which meant only 91 days out of the year) in Michigan, and we’ve since moved to the greater Houston area. We’re moving onto a 1966 Ericson 35-1 within the next two weeks, so there will be plenty of adventures for us as well!

    Hi!

We thought we would throw a little joy and happiness your way.

We have traveled extensively using conventional methods and are inspired by other travelers to keep going.

We are planning to start a sailing travel adventure in November and are busy prepping now. We hope to set sail soon.
